A few months ago, I asked for advice on what tweed jacket to wear. Happy to say that Rocky at USA Kilts had a beautiful green tweed that was perfect. Now I have the pleasure of sharing some photos...

I had some last spring. It was good, but I'm glad I only bought one bottle. Out of all the Glenfiddich I've had, I think the 15 is still my favorite.

We have a pretty strict dress code too. We work with the public, and our appearance reflects on the company--of course they're going to make you dress well and keep groomed!

On a day like this
clouds low overhead
tree leaves on fire
and books unread
I retreat to the pub
my pipe in hand
for a dram of uisge
and worries remand.
Hemingway, Behan,
great works abound

My last name is Long (of course, no relation to the Loch, but fun nonetheless). Thanks for posting!

I just finished the chapter on Wallace and Bruce in Magnusson's Scotland: Story of a Nation. These photos are great! Thanks for posting them!!!

There are two types of bagpipes: well-made pipes and garbage pipes. There really is no in-between. If you're looking for a set of pipes to hang on the wall as decoration, then I'd say buy these...

Last night I had such an amazing Gimlet. Plymouth, of course, and always fresh juice. That really helped to cut the heat AND the scurvy!

It's about 500 F and 300% humidity here in Wisconsin right now. What do you guys go for when the summer heat rears its ugly head?
I've been enjoying a lot more mojitos as well as some lighter...

It's the same reason I call my (Irish-American) friends "Micks". Taking a pejorative term and making it our own. Taking the power out of it.

Very smart! Looks like a lot of fun!
(and I wouldn't have given her my kilt, either)
-
In Irish it means "Crone".

You both look like you were having a lot of fun! The other guy in this photo is Master Chief from the video game Halo.
