I have some questions about DNA testing. I am thinking about getting tested, but which level of test do I need? I have decided when I test to use FamilyTree DNA because they have surname projects. I...

Thanks Barb and Steve. I do see how this kilt for sale will be too short for me. I was a shot. You have given me an education for when I do order my first kilt.

Isaac,
How did you decide to use the fabric from D.C. Dalgleish? Had you seen their material previously and compared them to the other mills? I have not found a website that supplies their...

Joseph,
Thanks for your valuable input. This does clarify several points.
It does appear that the Masters relocated to a different area almost every other generation. So information is...

Beautiful kilt, Isaac. You're quite the dapper gentleman. I enjoyed seeing the diversity of each outfit. Great inspiration.
What mill did the tartan?

Thanks bdkilted, it's nice to know that there will merchants there selling clan specific items. That is definitely one thing we are looking for. I will also make sure to bring lawn chairs to watch...

I have never been to a Highland Games and Festival. I am planning on making it to this one.
Can anyone tell me if the clan tents sell any wares of their clan? And what sort of things do they...
-
Thanks Jock,
I have been searching for an explanation of the differences in these three jackets. The manufacturers don't even provide this explanation.

Isaac,
You are a great looking family.
And I join the crowd in thanking you for this thread. I agree with everything you and Tobus have said. I also like your motto.
-
Tobus, thanks for this information
Being in West Texas and thinking what to get for my first kilt. This lets me know I can get the 8 yard kilt. Thanks
-
Can anyone tell me what all happens at this festival? What are the tickets for? What is this festival for?
-
Thanks Mike for the clarification. I was a little confused.
-
Thanks, ctbuchanan. You helped clarify for me the difference between the Clan Badge and the Clan Crest (I think). I did print off the membership application. Again thanks,
Steve

I am thinking about making a picture of the family crest that I could frame for my home, and possibly use the crest to be made for a kilt buckle or on a fly plaid broach. Y'all's help and advice will...
