I remember my first kilted snow. And I was wearing my Black Watch kilt too.
I would reply with a kilted snow pic from today, but we got black ice instead. It doesn't photograph well :/

As a high level response.... pinots from Oregon, California cabs, northern CA merlots, and Zins from Lodi CA are a good start in US wines, which generally provides good bang for the buck. But don't...

Judging by the post, you are all right. Glad to read. Trying to reach some friends myself, but power/phone/internet service is spotty. From 75F yesterday, to tornados by night, to 45F downpours and...

Well the weather is 40F and three days of rain, with one more day. Unusual for us to have so much. But to get all the rain at once is normal. Unfortunately, flash flooding is now common, and driving...

What a fun thread. (Well, fun to read. Not so sure how much fun it was to accomplish.) I hope you share your pictorial process with the owner.

Bearded for decades here. Yes, beards and handlebar moustaches are very "hipster" at the moment. So products to maintain them are a growing business.

Thanks for posting. The bit about clocks on the wall got the loudest of my laughs.

My usual summer wear is a 4 yrd box pleat wool kilt (it's cooler), short sleeve dress shirt or even a polo style shirt. Thinner socks (not wool) help a lot.

I own 3 (2 custom and 1 off the rack) from USA Kilts. You'll love it.

How fun. Yes, unusual things happen in a kilt. And in Santa Fe, anything is possible.

Two weeks ago, I was in USA Kilts shop, and picked up an ex-hire kilt in the Celtic Nations tartan. I was lucky to find one in my exact size. It's very Christmas-y, so I've been wearing it a lot....

Full beard and handlebar wearer here. In terms of favorite leave-in conditioners, I use two, depending on my mood.
-Bluebeard's original Beard Saver (cream, in a small tub). I use a two finger...

A wonderful achievement. My heartiest congratulations.

That was fun. Great looking shop.

I prefer my Utilikilt (Workman's model) for yard work. Heavy, washable, and tough to damage. But this model can be quite warm at times.
This made me laugh. Just search Yelp. There are...

So have I. I let it slide. The only gentleman I stopped and quietly talked to, was still wearing the basting stitches. He didn't know to remove them.

Let me add some info. The Lewisville Fire Department hosts a pipe and drum symposium called "Keeping Tradition Alive Honor Guard, Pipes & Drums Symposium". See this page for a bit more info.

Bummer. I'm a bit far away from the Commonwealth.
When you open a Texas facility, give me a call. :)
I have some sewing friends in PA. I'll pass along.

Missed you by a week. I was there on opening day. Plenty of kilts (good and the not so good) to be seen.

It's held on the UT Arlington campus, in Maverick Stadium, in Arlington, TX.
You can find the details on the event website, located here.

I met that dog recently at the North Texas Irish Fest.
