Congratulations and thanks for stepping up to serve!

Rather presumptive to show up and start lecturing without sanction from the NTS.

You guys look great, Jamie. Very nice promo photo.

I like this a lot. Sorry I missed them when they were available.

I love the original Whisky Galore. I have it on DVD - great movie.

I'll be at the Heraldry Society of Scotland tent tomorrow between the stage and Clan Campbell tent. Please stop by and say hello.

Looks like the merchant referenced earlier in the thread can't send horn buttons to the US. Kind of strange as I don't believe stag horn falls in the same category as, say, seal skin which is a...

Have you done any deep clade testing, Steve? That can give hints to where your ancestors resided in the British Isles (perhaps you already know) and general ideas of where they had been prior to...

Look forward to seeing you there. Maybe we can take a group photo of X Markers who attend.

It actually did for me. I have a surname that can be English or Scottish. My verbal family tradition is that we are of Scottish origin. Y-DNA has confirmed that this is correct. My direct male...

Thanks, Jack. I'll give it a try.

Thanks for posting this link. I've worn wingtips since I graduated from college, but I've never seen wingtip boots before. Very nice!

Great photo, Luke! Looking like the true Scottish Gentleman.

How important are the horn buttons? My kilt jacket currently has the leather covered buttons found on many tweed sports coats. Is that a major faux pas for THCD?
-
Welcome from Denver, Colorado! Glad to hear that you had a positive experience your first time out in your kilt. I had a Semi-Traditional made in Gordon Modern back in 2012 and couldn't be happier...

Absolutely nothing. I misread your original post - my apologies. I like the top set too.

The buttons that came with it are fine. Save your money and invest in something else. No offense intended, just my opinion. :)
