I never really got the whole Kilt Kop thing, but I can't imagine coming up to a stranger at the entrance to an event and saying something like that. When out and about kilted, I usually have better...

From what I remember, you can import it if it is lung free. I believe that even if made locally, it can't be sold if there are lungs in it.

I had given some thought to the road trip, but decided Clinton was a bit far for a trip to the pub. I see I didn't miss anything.

This is a great project. I have often wondered why at the various church services I have attended that feature pipes there is very little liturgical music being played. This included my wedding,...

Wow, it was a great event, glad that I finally made it. My wife who never accompanies me to Tartan Day and somewhat surprised me by suggesting this side trip from DC, said it was fun and she enjoyed...

Not that Ren Faires are bastions of historical accuracy but I think they are partially to blame. I see schedules every year that feature some variation of a time travelers weekend where folks dress...

I am not usually a fan of modern kilts, however if the 5.11 one came in the color I wear for uniform pants I would probably buy one just for fun. As my uniforms are 5.11 anyway.

To my eye, the best feature (at least kilt related) to these uniforms is the cut of the bottom, with the grey part a little higher. I sort of mimics the cut of a jacket for a sporran.
As an aside...

I used to have a red Class A tunic from the original series that I wore occasionally with my kilt. It has not fit in years and I am not sure what I did with it.
I always thought that the maroon...
