I have the 5.11 Tactical Kilt, but that is a poly/cotton ripstop fabric. It's a great casual kilt, but it's a bit generously sized.
-
If you enjoy the Ghillie shirt, then wear it. But I would agree that it's anachronistic and costumey. Not that there's anything wrong with either of those things. I very much enjoy seeing...

My summer outfit was not what most would consider "traditional". Fortunately, this thread isn't about my experience, or it most certainly would be misplaced!

It looks good and comfortable to me! The heat wave here in SoCal has been unbearable, so props for still looking dapper. I wore a Sport Kilt with a t-shirt and sandals today.
-
I just got my Glencoe hose today and I really like them! I purchased Oatmeal and Thistle.
The ones that I didn't like for me are the Glenmore in Ancient Blue.
-
I was debating getting those in order to try out the Glencoe line. I already have Bison in the Lewis line.
I purchased some Glenmore kilt socks in Ancient Blue and I don't like them. They are...

I have a MacMillan Black from UT Kilts (I'm wearing it in my avatar) and I have a MacNaughton from Atlanta Kilts. They are both presentable and suitable casual kilts. The Atlanta kilt definitely...

That was probably at the First Congregational Church on 3rd and Cedar in Long Beach. The Chorale has performed many, many shows there. That's neat that you've played a show with the Chorale!
-
I had additional inner pockets added when I purchased this kilt. I considered wearing my new Wyvern Leatherworks sporran, but I didn't want to risk damaging it while putting the final touches on our...

I participated in the Long Beach Pride Parade on Sunday. I was in the parade with South Coast Chorale, a mixed-voice LBGT choir, promoting our upcoming parody show. We all more matching t-shirts,...

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been underemployed before, and it can be more difficult than being unemployed, in some ways. I hope some opportunities open up for you soon.

If they don't approve of how you look tending to your garden, they could always garden for you.
FWIW, I approve.

SOLD - Mods, please lock thread
My first sporran was this entry-level semi-formal one that I purchased new from UT Kilts.

Since I no longer am using it, I thought I'd put it up here in...

I have an entry-level semi-formal sporran from UT Kilts that I could part ways with:
33709
It comes with a sporran chain and I think it's good for a value sporran. If you're interested, I'll...

Waiting is the hardest part.
I am also awaiting my kilt, a 5 yarder in MacNaughton Hunting Muted. My tartan looks a bit Christmas-y, and that makes me very happy. :) I'm strongly debating...

It's working fine from my work location as of 5:10 PM Pacific.

It doesn't look like OP has signed on since your last post. You might want to PM him.
-
I had issues trying to access it last night, but it appears to be working now (1:03AM Pacific time on 3/4)
-
I'd have to agree on the pattern. If you're going to do a pattern, perhaps one that is smaller than the tartan might work better. Solid colors are a good way to go, too.
With the warm...

"Oscar Wilde" is an acquaintance of mine, and I've yet to attend the Dickens Festival. I'm glad you and your family were able to go and have an enjoyable time!

I am a moderator at a popular forum pertaining to credit issues, and, at times, I have to post gentle reminders to participants in a thread (not necessary the OP) to stay on topic. And I believe...

The weather was very nice and made for a great first visit for me. It had cooled off a bit from recent weather and it was a bit windy. We went on the Queen Mary and I caught an updraft as we were...
