The first from R W Forsyth's catalogue and simply described as a doublet. The second, if I remember correctly, is a museum artifact and no name is given to the doublet.

One wonders to what extent his clothing reflects the exaggeration so often seen in actors costumes.

The apparent colour difference is something to do with the camera. Both jacket and waistcoat are true black with no sign of fading.
