It is relatively easy to date and even identify the maker of British silver, just look for the hallmarks stamped on the individual pieces, for example each silver link on a chain will...

Tartans are like defining "beauty" and there will be many conflicting thoughts on the matter. However, I am afraid that I can't raise much enthusiasm for any of the tartans shown above.

A light-weight, mild patterned, tattersall shirt might be worth a thought? They go with almost any event that is not formal. Just so you know, should you be thinking along the more traditional route...
