Unfortunately, we didn't get to Torrey's since the wife got altitude sickness. But next time for sure!

Like McNulty says, hiking in a kilt is the ONLY way to go. If I go with my tank I usually wear some boxers to keep the rubbing down, but the PVs are great. I'm thinking of getting a Survival kilt for...

Sorry bout the pics not showing up, I'll do a direct upload of three here. BTW, the 16oz Clark was PERFECT up on top. The wind wasn't too bad, and with my Columbia it was just right:

Well, we didn't make Long's. The weather was going to be a bit sketchy, so we settled for Grey's. My wife got a little altitude sickness, but we made Grey's OK. Livingston, sorry we didn't call, but...

We would love to, but my family's coming from Virginia to the Cheyenne Frontier Days, so I'm obligated to go with them.
-
Cool, will do. It looks like we'll be trying for next Tuesday to avoid the crowds. I'll drop you a line if we're not going to be in a rush to get back to Denver and maybe we can meet up.
-
Livingston,
Imagine that! Now Virginia remembered she has a dentist appointment on Tuesday as well. So it looks like we'll be pushing it back another week.
-
No, because of some weather constraints and a late start we ended up just hiking around Estes (with my SWK Black Stewart). We're going to Long's on Tue. morning. It'll hopefully be less busy as well.
-
sad i missed it. We'll catch you all at the next one.

Nighthawk is right. Here's a link to the CO 14ers with more info: http://www.14ers.com/

Hmm, now I'm torn. I know how awfully cold the top of those hills get, and i'm all for hiking in the kilt, but I'd rather not have my long hose on. Perhaps I could put it down for the easy part and...

Colorado rabble-
The wife and I are going to hike a 14er this weekend (not sure which one yet) in lieu of spending money anywhere (though I wish I were going to the festival). My question to you:...
-
Thanks for the condolences. It may be a blessing in disguise though as I was quite sick of the job anyway. Good luck on your job call back!
-
We won't be doing much until I find a job. I lost mine the Thursday before the 4th.
-
Sounds great but a bit big for me. Damn my skinny genes!

We went last year and it's a great little festival. Can't make it this year, but we'll catch up next time.

Here it is. :D

Hey folks,
We should start up a social group on xmarks for the CO peeps. ROKS was the acronym I believe, but I can't remember what it stood for. I'll start it up if everyone's in.

Cool, thanks man. And nice meeting you yesterday!

Hey, anyone in Denver recommend one of the many teachers 'round here? I'm going to take the plunge next month if I have the $, so I'd like to get a good teacher, and XMarks is the place to ask! :D
-
It is for us. Our realtor's a great lady.
-
I'd love to, but we're going househunting and have a full weekend with parties, etc.
-
Let me check with the wife and if we can make it, I'll be sure to give you a heads-up before 5 today. If I don't write, we'll probably be elsewhere.
Congratulations either way, Nighthawk!

Hey, still alive and kicking here. Just haven't been on the board much what with the wedding and honeymoon. But I'm still here, rain or no!
-
Just saw this thread. I think me and the missus will be downtown during that time and we're quite ready to wave at Riverkilt. :p
