Houston Burns Supper
Last Saturday (1/28) I attended the Houston Heather and Thistle Society’s 59th Annual Robert Burns Supper. I didn't do as good a job of documenting it as I would have liked, I'll blame the fact that I'm still pretty run-down from getting over a week of the cough and cold thing that's going around my work. I didn't realize that I didn't even get a photo of myself till I was back home!

A couple shots of the 240 or so attendees finding their seats...

A great performance by the world champian St.Thomas Pipe band and dancers.

The Houston Royal Scottish Country Dance Society put on a demo, and then invited everyone to join in. Fun, but it might have gone smoother before everyone had been drinking for 3 hours!

Speaking of dancing, here's our own Jack Daw cutting a rug!
I've wanted to go to this gathering for years, but something always came up, so this was my first time attending. It is a fun and entertaining, (though not inexpensive), event, and I had a great time .
