I'm not asking to be antagonistic, I'm just curious.
I don't eat meat at all, but I have no problem with wool, like Matt I don't want to be contentious, but products like wool are much more environmently sound, at least over petrol-chemical products like acrylic or ones which require a huge ammount of chemical processing like PV.
The shearing of sheep for wool is necessary and doesn't injure the animals.There are some companies who offer an organic or friendly approach to sheep rearing , perahps those are areas you could look at as well.
Having said that, if a client of mine wants a kilt made in any fabric I will do my best to assist , I often make kilts out of cotton or linen, and there subsistutes for leather straps , and I can forgo the use of beeswax as well.
