Nothing wrong with any of that, I'm all for a bit of eccentricity (my kids would probably use mad instead); I was just expressing an opinion as to what I found aesthetically pleasing. The important thing is he is wearing a kilt.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

The chap in the photo seems to have his kilt on backward, I believe. It looks like I see some pleats in the front.

The chap in question is wearing tartan trousers. If you look closely, you can see a pocket on the left (our right) side. Tom is wearing a kilt in the Macpherson "ancient" tartan, obviously.

I've been wearing kilts every day, all day, for the last week to work, around town, and at home. I usually can't do this and wanted to see what it would be like. Although they are traditional (high waisted) kilts, I wear them casually 99% of the time. I have no need for a jacket and/or tie.

I've worn my sporran whenever I was "on the move" with few exceptions. At work, I need a key fob to get between departments due to the security doors. I tend to forget it if I'm sporran-less. At my desk, I took it off because it got in the way. At home, I take it off as soon as I get through the door.

I'm going to buy a cargo style kilt this weekend. I found the high waist of my traditional kilts to be cumbersome to wear seated for long periods of time. Admittedly, I need to drop some weight which would help. But I'd like to try one out anyway.

Of course! Now it makes sense.

Jacket pocket. I actually never carry anything in my sporrans. I loathe having things bouncing around in there as I walk. This may sound odd to many of you, but that's just how I roll.

Nor do I, that is one reason I removed the tassles from an all leather one, the noise irritated me when walking. Too much weight is equally annoying.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
