I've noticed that for some reason my Ancient Blue or Lovat Blue hose fit tighter than any other color regardless of style or maker. I don't know if there is something inherently different about dying something blue or what, but blue hose always seem to be one size smaller than marked.

Where is the nearest kilt shop from you over there? In Scotland, in the centre part of Glasgow, they are virtually everywhere.
Try finding some kilt shops over there, walk in and ask them if they sell Glencoe/Glenmore kilt hose.

Looks like it's in Atlanta, I'm not driving 4 hours (8 round trip) for a pair of socks.

Do you want the socks or not?

They don't carry them at Atlanta Kilts. The internet is going to be your best bet!

Not if it's going to cost me $80.00 dollars or more in gas, plus travel time.
They sell them on Amazon anyhow, I think they were out of them when I originally posted.
I just went back and re-read my original post, I wanted to order directly from HOC because of the discount offered, they only offer their most expensive types of hose however. Its not that I can't get the hose at all, just not directly from HOC.

I just got my Glencoe hose today and I really like them! I purchased Oatmeal and Thistle.
The ones that I didn't like for me are the Glenmore in Ancient Blue.

Glenmore and other HoC hose are available through the Tartan Museum in Franklin, NC, as well, and you support a worthy cause in the process.
