We sat down on some low and deep (artsy) couch in the art building and my wife came over and said I was exposing myself. Needless to say the sporran was low and the material was pushed all the way it would go but because of the couch it didn't quite cover. I have not had the problem with a utilikilt but the pleats in the wool are too far away.
When the seat I am in doesn't provide the optimum positions for modesty, I find it best to just spread my legs more and everything seems to fall into place.
