Matching the Hose and Flashes

I'm sure someone who knows will be along shortly to give you the correct answer, but personally I would go with solid flashes or ties, probably in one of the overcheck colors. Tartan flashes would either blend in, or stand out in a bad way, at least to my way of thinking.

Generally, one would not wear tartan flashes with argyl hose. It would be a bit too busy. I have no problems with tartan flashes with plain hose. Always look for a general look of complementary patterns and/or colours.
