Not being a wearer of traditional kilts, or familiar with the tartan, is it possible to put a stitch near the edge of each pleat? May bring a crisp edge to each pleat. Is it possible to press a heat sensitive strip on the inside of each pleat? Just a thought.

It's our Casual Kilt model, so there already IS a line of stitching near the edge of the pleats. I wouldn't do anything to the kilt that wouldn't be reversible. Starch MAY work but if it didn't, it can be washed out. Heat Sensitive strips may muck up the pleats and end up doing more harm than good...
