That eBay listing seems to be a twin to this -
DSCF1242.jpg
which I managed to find as new-old-stock.
It's a well-made and robust sporran in a simple classic style. It would be something of a bargain if it can be won at the current price.

Lovely Evening sporran, possibly seal, possibly by WE Scott Edinburgh, once again a great bargain for those in the UK.

A very nice traditional brown leather Day sporran, won't post to the USA, a super bargain. Probably by WE Scott due to the shape of the tab in rear, though not stamped.

A high-quality L&M Highland (Nova Scotia) seal Evening sporran within US borders.
Sorry to bring attention to it, there is one bidder, currently going for $10.
I think it's stamped 503 R, the seller says 603 R.
I don't know the L&M numbering system, but their earlier sporrans were stamped with those codes.

Nice supple leather "semi-dress" black leather with seal fur. The tassel hardware looks silver-plated.
Stamped Made in Scotland Real Leather.

Here's the typical thing of people having a vintage civilian outfit and imagining that it's military.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/WW1-VINTAGE...p2056016.l4276
It's wildly overpriced. My guess is that the seller would be lucky to get $500 for it.
The sporran is by Thomas Dunlop (Glasgow) and is probably from the 1930s or 1940s.
I think the sporran started life as a long horsehair "piper" sporran, and at some point was bobbed and had a rabbit pelt glued on top.
The waistbelt and crossbelt hardware are very nice c1930s solid German Silver examples, so superior to the hideous chrome stuff now sold to pipers.
Even so, I myself wouldn't pay $500 to get the sporran and belts.
To get anyone interested in the kilt the seller will need to post measurements and closeup photos and a detailed description as to condition (moth holes etc.)

On Etsy, with the gold oval Made in Scotland Real Leather stamp.
I've not seen a modern Hunting sporran done in such soft flexible leather.
It's black so I assume it's most probably from around 1970 to 1980.

On Ebay UK, a sporran stamped Lochcarron, very inexpensive with no bids.
It's a leather Day sporran with bovine face, but with six tassels.

Not a sporran, but a high-quality modern belt buckle from Glen Esk, for under $20 including shipping (in the USA).
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Scottish-Ki...p2056016.l4276
It's Glen Esk's Celtic knotwork stag buckle, a very nice modern design which IMHO has a traditional feel to it.
New, this buckle is $60 here https://www.ebay.com/itm/30322752873...Bk9SR46MyLrQYg
Sadly this design has been re-cast and mass-produced in Pakistan, however the Pakistani copies are noticeably crude in execution.
Here's the Glen Esk original (top) and one of the Pakistani re-casts (bottom).
Some of the re-casts are pretty good, but none I've seen capture all the details of the original.

A Scottish-made "Prince Charlie" EW7T sporran for $25 here in the USA.
It's strange, and I've not seen one like it.
