The New York Tartan Week page on Facebook is having a virtual Tartan Day Parade on Monday April 6.
    https://www.facebook.com/nycTartanWeek/

The Clan Buchanan will be noting the 700th Anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Arbroath (6 April 1320) and USA Tartan Day with a virtual celebration of our tartans on the CBSI facebook group
    https://www.facebook.com/groups/theclanbuchanan/

And I would be up for sharing something in this group as well.

As an essential employee, I will be happily parading around the office in my kilt and facemask.

Being the resident IT geek not only is "behavior" like this allowed but also expected. I just have to be careful when I have to crawl under desks...

which I'm good to go, I've got the Zoom thing set up now.

Our Pipe Band had our first virtual practice today using Zoom, it worked far better than I imagined. It was no nice seeing all the guys and gals! We've not seen each other or played in weeks. We needed that.

The 7th is better for me due to the 6th being my wife's Bday.

I'll put up the flag of Scotland that morning. I'm currently thinking I will step outside after working from home to pipe a couple of tunes.

    Edit to add:
I did step out about 5:00 & played the ground to a piobaireachd: "The Desperate Battle" (apropos?). Followed that up with "Scotland the Brave".

Wore my Law Enforcement Memorial tartan kilt (and found it grew in the closet!) and a black waistcoat, grey hose, blue flashes, black Balmoral - it's a nice sunny 76 F today. Had a couple of neighbors step out and applaud when I was done - in appreciation for the music or thankful that I was finished?

Happy National Tartan Day to all of us in the U.S. & Canada.

I wore a kilt for my chemotherapy session today. It is the only reason I am let out at the moment.
