My First Ryan Ross Bonnet ...

... and I like everything about it. The bonnet appears well made (though I am no expert), the wool is plush and has a rich textured look-and-feel, the adjustment drawstring works well, and it is so comfortable that I forget I have it on.

I have been taking walks in it on bright, sunny afternoons while wearing my lightweight Blaylock Hunting kilt. At 7500 ft. the radiative heat from the sun dominates the convective heat, but the bonnet kept my head and face cool, working even better than my usual mesh baseball caps or my Scottish Jeep hat. Being wool, it will probably help keep my head warm in the winter, but I'll have to reserve judgment on that until the fall.

So far, I have discovered only one problem. Now, I have to decide the color of my next one. Thanks, Abigail, for the bonnet. I anticipate many years of use and enjoyment.

Finally, I spent two days, or more, working hard to "master the steely glint in the eye that Lamar's photo always display".

But, it just looks like I have gas!

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Aye, you need a bit more work yet on the steely glint thing. But the bonnet looks great on you!!

He sells them through the Scottish Tartan Museum.

I think everyone who gets a Ryan Ross bonnet should have to do the pose.

Matty Ross: Your question has already been answered. I'll just add that the folks at the Scottish Tartans Museum are good people. They'll help you in any way they can.

That pretty much covers it for me as well.
