The seller doesn't show the back of this sporran, but it has the look of a vintage Scottish-made sporran, the basic least-expensive sporran most makers offered, with flat tassels.

There are also three kilt belts, one has a cool-looking brass buckle I don't think I've seen before.

All for under $30 including shipping.

Here's a very strange "sporran" being sold by a person in Aberdeen.

Does anyone know what it might be?

Seller states in the description that they don’t know anything about sporrans.

...then again, it could be someone’s bird dog.

Not one of those under $50 bargains, but still a great price for a Nicoll Brothers Bankfoot sporran.

It's one of their cantles that I don't recall seeing other makers offer.

Also interesting is how they maintained their distinctive sporran body shape.

Not likely then if 'made in Scotland' -- and certainly not fae Aberdeen Nobody's dog's pelt is so disrespected: we bury our kin.

Fairly motheaten, but my read is roadkill old badger.

It's plain, but for under $20 it's a quality sporran by L&M Highland Outfitters in Canada.

Wow a really old Prince Charles type Evening sporran, probably from the 1920s or 1930s, very low opening bid and zero bids at this time.

    It's missing its tassels.

Yes the fur isn't in the best of shape but overall it looks to be a fairly intact sturdy thing. The fur isn't rabbit of course, but best for everybody if no-one knows that.

To centre here is what that sporran would have looked like in its youth.

Here's a more intact surviving one
