    Mike, thanks for pointing out the possibility of confusion with the text following the photo. I edited the original post to indicate that it's a quote from the newspaper article, not my words.

    I did review rule #5 as you suggested. I think everyone of good will can agree on the historical facts of slavery, Jim Crow and segregation. I trust those statements hold no political or religious controversary considering the long road toward justice we have traveled since 1963.

    This is now the second thread that has been flagged to the moderators for comments on the Race of a kiltwearer, and/or the historical implications of US Race relations and/or Slavery. While the 12 rules of this forum do not specifically address the issue of Race, Culture, or background Heritage, It is because discussion of what Race, Culture or Heritage of someone who chooses to wear a kilt should not even be an issue in today's world.
    And not on a forum dedicated to the kilt.

    Posts within this thread have been flagged to the Moderators. They will be discussing the issue over the next 72 hours.

    Until they reach a decision, this thread is closed.
