    Hello Again

    Hello All,

I was a fairly active member a number of years back, but as with many things in life we head in a new direction and some things fall away. Ran across the site again recently, while searching for something, and decided to get involved again since, due to a cancer surgery, I have a lot of time on my hands lol. I even still had my original login but that had likely been deleted due to inactivity. So here I am as a newbie...again.

I'm originally from Fife, born in Kirkcaldy but spent my youth in the Newington area of Edinburgh in the shadow of Arthur's Seat. Back then there was no visitor's parking area and sheep still roamed. Came to the US as a teen with my mum. I currently split my time between the NY area and the Isla of Bute, working towards more time in Bute . I've been wearing kilts since I was 5, so almost 56 years now. I tend to lean towards a more traditional style of kilt wearing but definitely believe in some modernisation so it in't just seen as a costume by others. That said I still enjoy wearing my doublets from time to time lol.

    Anyway glad to be back.

Thank you. I still have a way to go, but I'll get there.

Hello Chef; welcome back to X-Marks. Keep fighting that cancer and living your kilted life.
    Nile
Simon Fraser fought as MacShimidh, a Highland chief… wrapped and belted in a plaid over the top of his linen shirt, like his ordinary kinsmen. He put a bonnet on his head, and stuck the Fraser emblem, a sprig of yew, in it. With the battle cry, A'Chaisteal Dhunaidh and the scream of the pipes, they charged to battle. "The Last Highlander" Sara Fraser
