    Aquiring hose question

    OK Rabble,

Here is a question for you all. I am on the look out for a good reliable source of cotton kilt hose. I have rather large legs and that is part of the issue.

Do any of you know of a such a source for cotton kilt hose? I would prefer cotton due to fact that I live in close proximity to the deep south and it gets rather warm here in the summer abd never really gets all that cold in the winter. ( when I left home to head north to Kilt Kamp it was 100 degrees Fahrenheit with a humidity of 98%.

    Thanks in advance,
    Stoff

    Stoff ,

Here is one source , The Scottish Trading Company , which is listed above as an XMarks Partner .

I have two links for you for kilt hose that are cooler in hot weather .

The first is for cotton kilt hose :

The second is for a Merino wool blend ( much lighter in weight than regular wool ) which I have found to be very comfortable in hot weather . As a matter of fact , I own a pair of these and the cotton ones . I generally pick the Merino wool blend over the cotton for hot weather . I live in southern Indiana and we always have 90 + degrees in the summer .

    Hope this helps .

    Cheers , Mike

The photo of the cotton kilt hose doesn't show the turnover cuffs. What do those hose look like when worn, I wonder?

My favourite hose are the House Of Cheviot hose, which look great and come in a nice colour selection.

From what I can see of the cuffs, they look like they'd require more than one turnover for a proper look. I have a pair of cotton hose-- not sure if this brand, though-- and they're quite long and need several turns. Mind you, my legs aren't all that long, so on someone with longer legs, they probably wouldn't need so many.

You might want to check out a pair of these. Read the reviews.

Can't beat the price and free shipping.

I wear their slouch socks too, and turn down the cuff.

    Both great summer wear.
