Whilst not strictly making music, this is a photo of me at a clan gathering learning how to play the bagpipes (very unsuccessfully !).

Oh yeah, that's what it is. You look comfortable and relaxed; so often, I guess because playing the pipes is so physically demanding, folks look like they haven't been eating enough fiber. Especially in pictures. Also, the shade of brown in your sporran looks spot-on with the Leatherneck, and you have an excelent beard- Evereyone knows that a sporran and a beard are the two coolest kilt accessories; bonnet being a close third. ;)

Alan, this is SO not fair (as the kids today are fond of saying)! I'm a drummer! I sit behind a large rack of drums! No one sees my kilt! UGH! The embarassment! I'll have to see what I can come up with.

I feel your pain, brother, as I have been in the same boat.

Do yourself a favor and get a nice djembe. You'll have a ball with it, and people will be able to see your kilt while you're playing. Seriously. You'll thank me later.
