29 October Saturday, - The St. Andrew's Society of Sacramento will be
hosting its third annual family-oriented Fall Ceilidh. This is a
traditional Ceilidh with participation invited from anyone in attendance
whether it is singing, playing a musical instrument, dancing, or story
telling. There will be ceilidh and country dancing for all and plenty of
things for the children to do. As the date suggests, this will be an event
in celebration of Samhain and children (and adults) are invited to wear
Halloween costumes. There will be an explanation of Samhain to enhance your
knowledge of Scottish culture. The Ceilidh will once again be held at the
VFW Hall, Post No. 6158, off of Hazel Avenue near Sunset Avenue in FAIR OAKS
and will go until 11:00 with the doors opening at 5:30. Plan on eating at
6:30. Potluck Requests: A-J Main Dishes; K-P Desserts; Q-Z Salads and Side
Dishes. The Society will be furnishing plastic plates and utensils. The
requested donation at the door for the Society's Scholarship Fund will be
$10 per person or $20 per family. Children 5 and under will be free. To add
