Hey now...some of us enjoy all types of music and really enjoy the occasional Metallica song...

As for the best version of Whiskey in the Jar I have heard, I have to give that to Barleyjuice. The bluegrass twang mixed into the middle is perfect. http://store.itsaboutmusic.com/barleyjuice.html Listen to the samples of the entire album for Another Round. The whole album is great, but Whiskey in the Jar is one of my favs. I hope their newest album hits my door any day.

It's sad, because that same person probably thinks that "Last Caress/Green Hell", "Am I Evil?" and "So What?" were probably written by Metallica, as well.

    *shakes head*

Don't knock Metallica. They have a good deal of coordination and harmonic originality uncommon to other bands. Sure, they have some crap. They also have some stuff that is borderline genius.

And I LOVE their version of Whiskey in the Jar.

I like some of Metallica's stuff. And I like their version of "Whiskey in the Jar," but the idea that they wrote it is just ridiculous.

If you find that funny, check out Beatallica, a band which brilliantly blends the Beatles and Metallica!
