    Marton Mills wool/poly tartan

I'm considering buying a few yards of this stuff and making a kilt out of it. *Considering*. I mean, I have two sets of material sitting right here and I kind of don't need three sets, but we'll see.

I just hand-washed (in warm water, in the bathtub) a wool/poly kilt that I got from Caledonia Kilts, and it came out just great. I wouln't dare do that with a wool kilt.

Anybody ever use their tartan blend to make a kilt? How's the selvedge, will I have to hem this?

I wish I could say yes...but, they have yet to reply to any messages. Whereas, both Strathmore and Locharron have so far been great.

I agree, no answers or comments from Marton, I'm in need of a Sligo Rag (name from a line in "The Irish Rover" referring to fine clothing made in Sligo, my friends named their band that and I want a Sligo tartan kilt for the times I get and make a fool of myself , uhmm, I mean sing with them ...)
I did see a place www.scotyard.com with several tartans but $60 a yard is a little steep thinks I.
