    Polish tartan

I've heard that there is Polish Tartan for Polish people living in Scotland. I saw photo, quite nice.

is it true that in the past every reputable clan (family?) had their own tartan?
what do you think about Poland and Polish people?

All clans and many families have their own tartan. Each clan has a list with related family names (called septs), all with a name on the list can wear the clan's tartan.

The clan/family tartan system is relativly new...about 1820.

About Polish people...tough, hard working, freedom loving, proud, brave soldiers.

What did the Sobieski-Stewart brothers wear? Weren't they the two wise-guys that said thea they knew what all of the correct tartans were?

Will there be a McCaber (son of a pole...see earlier threads on this topic) tartan?

One could always wear the RAF tartan, in honour of the 303 (Kosciuszko) Squadron of the Royal Air Force, made up of exiled Poles during WWII.

    Cheers,

    Todd
