    KT on the golf course...KILTED!!

Saturday the Lambda Omicron chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma held their third annual Golf Scramble to raise money for the chapter. Being a Pike Alum, I had to be there! It was held at the Stonebridge Golf Course ( http://www.stonebridgeclub.com/billy...=132&page=2425 ) and was a great time!

for the record, I'm wearing a BotK shirt, SWK MacTavish kilt, Oconee Leather Works Sporran Strap, Thorfinn custom sporran and Official BotK kilt pin.

No, I'm not a professional golfer, but the kilt flays out nicely!

    KT,

I just played golf kilted for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot of fun and oddly enough no one said a single word to me about it (which was a shame since I was so ready to respond with well gold is Scottish, and we are playing in Scots Valley" ...

Are you wearing dress ghillies on the course? I can't imagine they give you any grip.

    Cheers

yes, they are dress ghillies...with piper taps. I'm not at the level of golf play where changing my shoes is going to have any impact on my play! When I get that good, I'll get a pair of ghillies and modify them for golf play.

I play kilted every once in a while and at "The Grandaddy", Pine Lakes Country Club at Myrtle Beach (http://www.myrtlebeachgolftrips.com/...mber=PINELAKE#) , the marshals and rangers wear kilts or trews as well, and a piper has been known to walk the paths - seriously cool). To play there once I added some ghillie laces to a pair of black FootJoys for looks. I'm not comfortable in ghillies, but it does look sharp on the links.

That's a great action shot! It looks like you lead with your hip off your drive, something I'm trying to learn to be consistent with.

    Looks good!

I was thinking the same thing as Jamie about the ghillies . . . seems like they'd be uncomfortable for all the hiking around. I'd also be concerned about getting them nicked or something.

    KT,

A lot of golf shoes are styled like dress wingtips anyway, I should have got some black ones. Of well!

    Cheers

I'm not a golfer. But, if I were to venture to the green, I would most definitely go kilted.

So, where do you keep your balls?

(Hmm. that could be another option. Detachable ball and tee holder. Hmmm. )
