    Alexis Malcolm kilts

Has anyone ever gotten one from her? I want a USAF tartan. Plus she has some neat USAF buckes and pins, that is my service. Let me know what the general concencious is. I want a "good" kilt to wear on formal occasions. thanks for the help

I've always heard good things about her work. I want to point out though: regarding the USAF tartan. It's only readily available through Strathmore in lightweight (11 oz.) cloth. You REALLY want at least a 13 oz. cloth. I'm looking at having a USAF kilt made, my self, but the cloth is going to be a custom weave by DC Daglish in 16oz. wool.

I have two Alexis Malcolm kilts and they are great. Alexis puts out a top quality product and is very easy to work with. I would definitely consider her for future kilt purchases.

I have not bought any kilt from her yet. I have obtained material from her for one of the Welsh family tartans. She is easy to work with, friendly and the order arrived straight away. I would buy from her again without hesitation.

I probably shouldn't even post as I'm only echoing what others have said....but I will anyway.

I have not had dealings with Ms. Malcom but I plan to. I've never heard anything but good about her.

I had Alexis build a U.S. Army kilt for my son-in-law for his wedding to my daughter. Alexis was absolutely awesome and everything came in better and sooner than promised. I highly recommend her.

I'm just finishing an Air Force tartan kilt for my daughter, who is commissioning in the US Air Force next weekend. I had the tartan custom woven by D. C. Dalgliesh, and the tartan is gorgeous (16 oz). I've also ordered a custom Air Force sporran/belt/kilt pin set from Caledonia Fine Arts.I'll post a pic when it's all together.

I had made her a kilt several years ago in Stathmore's light weight US Air Force tartan, and it is _not_ an adequate kilt. So, I would definitely ask what tartan Alexis Malcolm would make your kilt from. If it's the Strathmore light weight, I'd give it a miss, quite frankly!
