Kilts & Food & Wine
Well,
now that I have my new pride of wales tartan, I will be wearing it while volunteering at the Food&Wine Classic in Aspen this year (2 weekends from now). My question is this: casual or formal? Should I go for the Dr. Martens/boot with scrunched down socks look? Or would it be better to have the flashes & such? My job is to pour wine samples before a tasting seminar & then get the heck out of the way while the seminar goes on. I am then responsible for resetting everything, emptying spit buckets (yum!), moving cases of empty wine glasses etc.
I know, probably the job would be better done with a freedom kilt, but i dont have one.
Anyway, in between seminars, there's this HUGE tent with food samples, wine samples and....whisky samples!!!! I get to wander around with all the rich folks who paid $1200/ticket during that time and i thought perhaps a wee bit more formal would do the trick.
Thoughts, suggestions, ideas, free freedom kilts?
