That is a great tip - thank you. I have been struggling with one of those short wooden hangers that just grip the centre and leaves the sides drooping. Hope the wife doesn't notice I pinched some of her hangers!

I tried this... but the only hangars we have in the house like this are from the wife's wedding dress (well, whatever the poofy thing she wore under it is called anyway) so I quickly abandoned the idea after getting the infamous stare of death! Guess I'll have to hunt up some hangers!

Good hangers! That may be better than the hangers I got from IKEA!

That's brilliant!! I've tried several ways of hanging kilts, but this is the best!
One way that wasn't too bad was to slip the single strap through the straphole so that the kilt was aligned as if you were wearing it. I'd use one hanger on the front with the clips holding the apron and underapron layers. Then I'd use a second hanger on the back, to hold the weight of the pleats. It seemed to work out ok.
I hear some people like to hang kilts inside out so the pleat pressing won't open up. What do you think?

I just found some similar hangers, they're for skirts but they work for kilts too. Fold the kilt in half, attach a hanger to each side, then fold the whole thing in half and hang.. works a charm. Thanks for the advice

I just tried this, and WOW! That was brilliant. My kilts are now nicely hung up, instead of draped for maximum flatness.
