Potential US NAVY (Edzell) run in PV

    Hey guys,

It's been brought up in another thread that people have been requesting the US Navy (Edzell) tartan in PV. Here's a pic:

If we can get 20 orders together (and I can get approval from Strathmore and pay them for the use of the tartan... which SHOULDN'T be a problem, but still have to check), we'd be willing to take on the special order.

Here's the poll... would you be interested in a kilt? Price would be the same as our normal prices for Casual ($99 - $140) and Semi Trad ($220 - $250) kilts.

My pops was on the USS Forestall in Vietnam as a photographer... Happened to be off ship when the fire happened, but he developed all the film that was used in various magazines and whatnot... he also shot most of the footage for the investigation that followed, which I have seen more than once on the Military Channel and/or the History Channel.

I would love a semi-trad in this tartan, but just don't have the funds right now. What would the possibility be of grabbing the fabric now and having Rocky sew it up later?

I'll give this a deadline of Aug 30. If we have the 20 orders required, I'll PM everyone to get the billing details. Once I have all 20 orders confirmed and the funds are verified, I'll order the material and start the process!

Captain... Unfortunately, for this type of special order, I need the order up front to help cover the costs of weaving the material.

Yeah, I figured, but I thought I'd see if there was a possibility to just pay you for the fabric (for now anyway) and then get the tailoring later when more fundage was available... Oh well, I'll get one eventually.

I just spoke to my dad and he's in the same boat. He'd love to have one, but is short on funds now as well.

This is HARD. I'd like an Edzell tartan kilt.

but after I make the Hall tartan box-pleat kilt, the Grey Stewart 8-yard kilt (I have that material in my study right now, waiting for me)and a digicamo knock around kilt...

....along with the X-Kilt I just finished....I will have 13 kilts. Do I need ANOTHER kilt?

But this is hard because Ezell, because of my Dad's Navy Career and his affect on my life...Edzell/Navy is the one remaining tartan that I feel I have a REAL connection to, and would buy for that reason. I can't commit by August 30th, Rocky.....by Christmas, probably yes, but not by August 30th.

Count me in for one semi-trad.

And for all you skimmers out there:

There are only two types of ships in the Navy, Submarines and Targets
