    Beer Festival

I went to the Beer Fesitval in Adamstown, Pennsylvania with a couple of friends. While I was there a couple of young ladies wanted their picture taken with me in my kilt:

Sorry it's a little blurry, but the photographer had already had a few beers. Trust me, there's a kilt there but it's lost in the shadow. I'm wearing my MacIan tartan, the same one from my formal pictures. Yet another example of the versatility of the kilt.

There were actually a few other ladies that wanted their picture taken, but I didn't get a picture back from them. Besides, I have to maintain my reputation of having at least two ladies in each picture with me.

By the way Grant, I got to show each of these ladies the proper way of doing a kilt check.

There were some decent brews there, but I'll have to say there weren't many I really cared for. This festival, being in October, had mostly heavier winter style brews. I tend to prefer the lighter summer brews, like hefeweizen.

I forgot to mention that the ladies were from a large group that all had on strange name tags. The brunette was "Superfreak" and the blonde "I Love Sausage." She was a lot of fun (too bad she was there with a boyfriend)

If you like dark beers and a light taste you should try schwartzbiers, like Monschoff or even Sam Adams Black Lager. I love springing these on people who say they don't like dark beers because they're "heavy."

How does one "show" these ladies how to perform a kilt check properly? they were both in jeans, or was there another kiltie available to show the proper technique ? So seriously what's a kilt check like really ?
