    Jacket conversion!

I said I'd do it, and here it is. One week left before winter break ends, and my jacket is finished! That means I am one week ahead of schedule. Here's the jacket I used:

It used to be my grandfather's.

This is a close-up of the houndstooth pattern:

And here it is! The finished product!

It goes great with the Lamont heavywieght I got from Stillwater.

I'm pretty *%$&@# proud of myself! I think it looks good! Next up is a tweed conversion, then maybe I'll try to make a tweed kilt(?). After seeing the tweed one that Arlen made himself, I'm a big fan.

Oh, and BIG thanks to F-H.C.A.G. Her guide helped. I didn't follow it exactly (I was a bit more careful with measuring) but I wouldn't have even tried without her guide. So again, thank you.

That is a very nice converstion Greg, you should be proud of it, and it does look very good with the Lamont.

Looks very good, Greg! The sporran cutaway, in particular, looks well shaped.

That looks great, Greg. The houndstooth does look very unique, but you're right, itlooks great with your new kilt.

    Well done!

And you were worried the houndstooth wouldn't look right! It looks great Greg, enjoy it.

Just had another look at this... Have you lost weight since I saw you?
You look more... svelte, I guess.

Probably the best conversion I've seen. Really looks sharp!
