    Colin,
    Your right.
I just wondered if it (or at least prices) was now somewhere on their site.
I wasn't looking for an agent or middleman. If I was, I would have PMed, emailed, or called Rocky, Steve, Pete, or the like directly.
On that note, Rocky has yardage he is selling that isn't a bad price at ALL and looks nice. Steve might have some too.

Anyways, the Marton Mills stuff is good and is cheaper than some of the Scottish mills like Lochcarron. I don't know how much, but am interested to find out myself.

The price difference between Wool Tartan and P/V Tartan is night and day.

On average Wool, depending on weight will cost between $50.00 and $80.00 per linear yard. P/V will cost you around $12.00 to $25.00 for the same length.

Marton Mills will sell small lengths of "In Stock" Tartans in 10.5oz P/V to the public and ship worldwide. You usually have to call and pay up front. Then wait and hope the duty, customs and import fees don't hit you. Still, P/V is still less expensive.

If you are still looking for inexpensive material, and haven't read it yet, check my posting ( under "For Sale"): "MacNaughton Ancient tartan, 12 oz X 60"; at $40 per meter. If we can get comitments to but 8 more yards, we can get this custom weave - 100% wool, and "summer weight"; 4 yds of this ( double width) would be enough to make a 'traditional' kilt.
