Yes, I agree with you 100%. We've spent the last three months in Cincinnati, OH. Since we dance in Spokane we hooked up with the local dancers—what a wonderful group of people. Scottish Country Dancing is one of the best things we've done with ourselves. Tomorrow off to Dayton for a Country Dance workshop and ball. It doesn't get any better.

You don't need any roots to enjoy Scottish country dancing, which is a great pastime practiced by thousand all around the world.

My local club is 85% French, and most of them have never even been to Scotland.
In Japan, the dancers are probably 100 % Japanese, but that does not stop them from having a good time.

Wings on the feet are more useful than roots. Have you ever seen a tree dance? Have you ever seen a tree look as happy as an SCD-er?

Martin how right you are, one of the favourite gents to have in my set is a dancer named Tang I believe he is Chinese but I must say, he dances very well and always enjoys himself.

    Thanks Glen,
The weather looks perfect for dancing. The only time we get to dance outdoors with our club is during the Games and it is too HOT!! Our next dancing event is out annual hike and dance on Mt. Hood. We drive up to the mountain, go for a 3-5 mile hike, then stay all night in a climbing club lodge. We share meals, and dance the night away. The next morning we cook breakfast together before we all go our separate ways. This year there is a problem. There is so much snow on the mountain that we will have to hike in to the lodge and carry in all the food, etc.
