Well, Saturday July 26 was the Seattle Highland Games, held in Enumclaw, WA. This was my fourth competition. And I must say, it was far greater than my Portland, OR display. So far I have competed in Bellingham, WA and placed 1st overall as a novice, in Tacoma, Wa placed 2nd overall as a C, in Portland, OR placed 8th overall as a B, and Enumclaw, WA placed 1st overall as a B. Things just came together. I have thrown with most of the competitors in Portland. Here are my marks, or as close as I can remember. There was healthy amount of Porter and Scotch consumed after the games.

17# Open Stone- 36'
28# WFD- 46'
56# WFD- 24'
56# WFH- 11' 6"
20# Sheaf- 18'
16# Hammer- 76'
18' 66# Caber- 2:30
17" 6" 75# Challenge Caber 73 degrees

I really need to work on my hammer and my caber! Set 2 new PR with the 56# WFD and the 56# WFH. I was bummed with my Sheaf, in practice I was clearing 20' the Wednesday befor the games. In the overall scores I actually tied another competitor in points, I had 2 first place finishes and he had one, so that tipped the scales in my direction.

Thanks for the support!! Anybody else compete lately?
