My ride. Getting closer to finishing

This is a Bar Stool Racer. Powered by 24 volt fork lift motor and transistor controller. This is what is taking up my time that I should be spending on constructive things.

To cool, but a motorized barstool. Can they still get you for drinking and driving?

This is again proof that if you put a motor on it, men will race it.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Don't have to put wheels on it to race it. Take belt sander racing for instance.

I'm guessing the motor will have enough torque to make the wheelie bars necessary? From this angle, they sure seem to be fairly close to the rear axle and up pretty high. Have you tested them for contact yet? Careful you don't take a spill. Sitting up that high, once you're over center...

Other than that, it looks pretty slick.

Most likely! DC motors develop maximum torque at stall. Hence the rapid acceleration of the electric motorcycles now in use in LA (I think. I saw part of a news clip a while back but cannot remember the city for sure)

a couple of buddies of mine used to use those for transports at the drag strip. Those had gas engines however. Looking good!
