All the better if it's Burns!

I would have to agree with you here Todd.

Todd I indeed have the Chris Tait DVD it has helped immensely, and yes Chris is very good.
But this thread is not about reciting Tam it really is about our upcoming Burns Night.

I'll check on a date with the Scottish Rite and then start the collection of #'s for those interested. Likely won't be 'til a week or two before I nail down a date.
Thanks,
Kevin.:

Now then ladies and gentlemen - I've just came accross this website (I wear the Gunn Tartan) from my mothers side McWilliam ...........
Anyway - I'm now living in Oakville - and still have my braid Scots tongue..... just to let you know - I'm a past winner of the Tam o'shanter recital competition (2005) - hosted each year in the Globe Inn Dumfries (where Burns used to drink and frequent) in conjunction with the World Burns Federation.......... if you evar want to hear it recited in full let me know. I also have an automaticall timed slide show that I play on a big screen while I recite the poem - to help people who maybe did not grow up with the poem understand a wee bit more of the poems Scots dialect.
I also perform many other Burns poems and songs - never charge a fee - as it is my hobbie......... if you want to get in touch let me know
Yours Aye
Ronnie

By all means please come to our Burns Night and recite something, or even come out to one of our kilt nights, we normally have kilt nights in the Oakville area, the Queen's Head is a favourite haunt of ours. Hopefully we will see you at one function or another.
