More than a tartan database!

Would'nt it be nice if we could in the photo folder have different folder by clans or surname. We can always go check the tartan on the website of lochcarron or any other mills. But there's nothing like seing the tartan made into a kilt. It would be nice if we could all use the same template to facilitate research and be able to contact someone who made a kilt from a tartan we like or seek feedback from different kiltmaker.

-tartan name with all the necessary precision (ancient, weathered, hunting, dress,etc.)
-Fabric (wool or poly)
-Mills of the tartan
-Type of kilt (5 yds, 8 yds...utlitykilt,etc)
-Kiltmaker

Just a suggestion from a newcomer always on the look for some tartan!!

That sounds like a pretty complicated database. Would you do it in a wiki format? Are you qualified to make it or are just imagined it?

If we want to keep it simple we could simply just put one folder per clan name in the photo gallery, adding clans as the photo get in. We could ad sub folder once we get more image of different tartan of the same family.

There would be many other more complicated way to do it, but I think starting with a simple solution might tell us if it's worth it or not.

Any moderator out there, ready to ad a few folder in the name of the clans to the photo gallery to try it. If we do this don't forget to use the regular template suggested above!
