    Celtic Crossroads ?

I'm not familiar with these guys, but I've just found out I'm going to be getting tickets for one of their shows for Christmas. (There was a potential conflict, no one was able to get it figured out without being obvious, so now I know about the gift... not as much fun).

Anyway, I've never heard of them before, I looked them up quickly and saw that they have 7 guys who play multiple instruments, but I'm on dial-up at the moment, so listening to their samples were out of the question for now. What are your thoughts, fellas?

For the sake of anyone else who may be interested, I was able to find and watch some videos of them, and they look very talented. Seven members, various instruments, and a female vocalist with an amazing voice. Can't be bad, looking forward to the show.

Okay, so the show was tonight. And although no one seems interested, I'm posting my thoughts anyway

In the program they were hyped as the best music group to come out of Ireland in decades. While that's probably not true, they are fantastic. There were, as mentioned, seven instrumentalists/vocalists, and there were two dancers who popped out for a handful of pieces.

The music was all fantastic. Each of the instrumentalists can play at least three instruments near equally well. Four of them performed on 3+ instruments tonight, with the other 3 playing two. I was very impressed by that.

Again, very impressed with the girl (Lisa's) voice as well.

The musical selection was good. Some trad. jigs and reels. Some Irish-ish songs adopted from songs of other countries, and even a bluegrass song for the Kentucky crowd.

If you get a chance, check them out, especially if you can see them live. (Tickets for my seat were about $20, and I was four rows from the stage, so it's definitely worth every penny and much much more).

Thanks for the review. I'll keep the group on my radar in the event that they appear in Phoenix.
