    No Burns Night???

Why is it,that there is no Burns Night to be found in the Greater New York/ Tri-State Area? We Scots should be ashamed of ourselves.

Have you contacted the Caledonian Society of NY? It's one of the US's oldest Scottish organizations.

That is a shame. However, In my area they have two. Each of them about 2 hours away from where I live. With tickets and all it would have cost me close to 100 dollars. In these times, can't afford that.

Besides the Caledonian Club Burns Supper, St Andrews pub does one, a bar called Iona in Brooklyn also. The Argyle Restaurant in Kearny NJ runs Burns Suppers for three weeks in January. I attended one at the Argyle on Friday, the Masonic Kilties one in East Hanover NJ on Saturday, and have another one coming up this Friday, also at a Masonic Lodge. Oh yeah, forgot the one last Thursday at the Copestone Lodge, also in Kearny NJ.
I'm sure Stewarts of Kearny located in Red Bank NJ also does one, and there are probably a few others throughout the area. Although not a Mason, I'm a piper in a "Scottish" pipe band and I guess we are bit more in the loop.
