North Texas Irish Festival March 6 - 8, 2009

It's almost that time again! http://www.ntif.org/ March 6 - 8, 2009 at Fair Park Dallas, Texas.

I'm hoping to be able to go (we went for the first time last year and had fun), but I'm not positive yet. I figured I'd go ahead and start this thread so people could start planning and discussing it.

I'm glad you brought this up Cynthia. We have gone in the past and may get to go this year.

Rowdy Red, are you going to be out there again this year?

I thought about waiting a little longer, but we sometimes take a while to get things planned if we all decide to meet up. Also, I kept forgetting which weekend it was (which is scary, since I may have even put it in my organizer and I joined their group at Facebook... just goes to show how much I've had on my mind lately! Ha!). Might as well force myself to see the topic come up every so often until then so I actually remember it!

Here's hoping a lot of us get to go and figure out a way to meet up out there if people want to. It is a fun event (but I'm glad I'm almost always broke because if I bought all the stuff I wanted to, I really would be broke! Heehee).

As always, plan to come by the North Texas Scottish Country Dancers tent (in the Scottish Village) and say hello. Ya'll all are welcome to leave bags there or to sit a spell.
I will be there Friday night setting up our booth and Saturday in the booth from 10am-12 and then gallavanting all over the place after that.

Too, the NTSCD tent is a good place to rendevouz with other parties.

I'll be there doing the usual entertaining. The band will be playing somewhere, but since the park is all messed up with construction I'm not entirely certain where we'll be playing this year. Just listen for the pipes and you should find us (or at least some good music from one of the other 8 gazillion other bands and entertainers out there).
