the comment on having one good kilt and spend the rest on accessories and jackets is good advice for this newbie. Best work toward dress for all occasions and then ponder another kilt or more.

I gotta admit, the outfit with that safari shirt and the pith was absolutely amazing. I may have to try and use that next st. patricks day (since I was able to convince my boss that it totally is appropriate attire to wear a kilt on that day). Wonder if I can find a good black safari shirt made of rough material...
Also, you guys have sold me on jacket cut I should do, it seems that its better to do a boxy cut jacket unless its tweed. Any advice on wearing just a vest, no jacket?

Is a flat cap (tweed) with a kilt at all acceptable with a kilt for casual country wear?
