ID:	31495 I'm suppose to be getting my Canadian Maple Leaf Tartan kilt in a week or so and I decided to make a new kilt pin for it . I found a very simple sterling silver "sword" type pin with my birth stone (amethyst) mounted on the hilt, at a local thrift shop and a few days ago I found a small "maple leaf " pin at the same thrift shop. I put the "sword" through the clasp of the maple leaf pin and secured it with a dab of clear epoxy. I think it will look unique and quite nice on the Maple Leaf tartan....what say you!

    I showed "the wife" your pin. We both adore it. The next question from her (to me), "why don't you have good stuff like that?"
    I broke into song, "I've got to be me..." I am flawed but she still loves me.

    Hmmm.....

    Very nice indeed. I have a friend who drives a Harley-Davidson and his wife is getting him a kilt. I looked long and hard for a H-D kilt pin but couldn't find one. I think you just gave me the answer to my problem.
    The hielan' man he wears the kilt, even when it's snowin';
    He kens na where the wind comes frae, But he kens fine where its goin'.
