Where I was raised you could just drive across the bridge and be in WVa.
So the trip for good Beer wasn't that far.

By "state" I guess you meant "country" ! Good news when people have a fine selection of beer.

You're being facetious, of course. All beer is good, even....well.....I don't know, is Molson any good?

'Tis the life's blood of all Canadian hockey fans. For American beer we always say "the Vet called, your mule has diabetes". Beer here is generally 5% or 4% for light beer, Some beers approach 7%. Molson's, I've found has gone down the toilet. Better beers can be found and local micro-breweries. Having said that, when drinking light beer I always drink Coors Light (brewed by Molson's) and is most likely nothing like it's US name sake. The only time I drank beer in south of the border was in my late teens and I'd order imported Canadian beer.
Still I'd like to think that the reputation of weak-kneed American beer is past and that quality suds is driven by a more discerning demand. Having said that, should you find yourself in SOKS country you will find yourself admiring our selection of fine Canadian beers, lagers and ales (hic!).

I went to school about 20 miles from the border and there was always a plethora of either Molson Canadian or Labatt's in the fridge. Grew quite fond of the stuff.
On the subject of Yuengling, a woman I work with commutes to DC from WV and said people are going bonkers over having the stuff for sale in WV now.
Once the law goes into effect, you should be able to get your hands on some very tasty dogfishhead brews, some of which are well over 12%.

I'm thankful we've finally got that law passed. The only problem is going to be the rednecks that think if they can't get a budweiser, they'll die. Hopefully some of those people are willing to try a real brew. I personally don't drink anything unless it's Irish, that way I know I'm getting quality. My last trip to Ireland, I ordered a keg of Guinness to have shipped to greet me on my return.

You Sir, have a problem, or are a genius. I'm tending to think the latter.

mmmmm Guinness is like mothers milk from the hand of God himself. As far as Coors/Molson, is that beer?
Here's a shockingly good beer from a can called Old Chubb

I never understood the budweiser thing. Don't like it...but anything's refreshing in the hayfield! I personally prefer ales over lagers anyway. A good porter occasionally.
