    S Kilts [http://www.skilt.co.uk]

These [except for the skarong] look like an amalgam of design ideas from UKs, Alpha Kilts, AKs, and Union Kilts. The movable pocket idea is interesting and the kilts have a tailored look.
Some of the fabric choices are, uh, unusual, innovative.

    The skarong? I think it's pretty skary . . .

Does anyone here have experience with this guy? The clearance kilts aren't a bad price.

Well, more competition on the market is a good thing as far as I'm concerned, but I see nothing that makes me want to buy one. For that price, I think I'd be happier with a UK or an Alpha.

Tartan kilts were ... often attached to an old fashioned cultural snobishness of "Do you have the right to wear that tartan?"
That's odd. I don't think I've ever met anyone who wears a kilt proclaim it is for Scots only. The only people I've heard say that are non-kilt wearers who might challenge your "right". Kilt wearers just say "Wear it proudly!"

Aldisimo, I agree. That skarong is just wrong...

    I dunno.

I think the Skarong in a different pattern or color would be cool out camping or some of the events I go to.

I am seriously digging the Black on Black Flock Big Cat Safari.
I would most definitely wear that one.

I am impressed by the details they seem to put into their product and the clarity of the photos. Other vendors could learn a thing or two from that website.

    Best regards,

Wear something like that skarong out camping, and you better hope you don't hear banjo music!

Almost-kilts and wannabe-kilts are not my personal cup of tea, but, hey . . . what do I know? And, I don't care what anyone else wears.

But you know me, traditionalist--for the most part--and not likely to do anything really weird at my age. But then the kids think I'm pretty weird when I wear a tank, sporran, and balmoral.
