I'll be there with beer, knee brace and enthusiasm. Maybe I'll even lift an itsy bitsy caber. Turning it will probably be beyond me, but who knows?
Of course Jamie and I will have danced for 4 hours at the Santa Cruz class RSCDS monthly party the night before, and spent the night with his sister and brother-in-law, so I'm likely to be tired, foot-sore and hungover. This is par for the course for a Highland Athlete though isn't it?
Be well,

Is there an "Out-of-shape Oldtimers" class?
Alan, will you be at the Modesto Games?
If I have a map to the "killing field" at Stanford, I guess this would be the time to try my hand at tossing sticks and stones and breaking bones without too-public embarrassment - and under the watchful supervision of a practicing veterinarian in case of accidental... uhn... you know... sore muscles, torn ligaments, fractured skeletal components, herniations, etc.

I really wanted to do this, but we will be out of town for a wedding on the 6th, and then the 7th is my birthday.
I hope you guys have a blast and will do this again so that I'll get a chance.

Won't be at Modesto, I didn't get an invitation to throw and that one's by invite, only. I hear that the field is small and they can only accomodate 25 or so athletes. In fact, I cooked this up as something to do INSTEAD of the Modesto Games!

Killing Field?!?
Did I hear this is a 'Killing Field'??
Hmm, do I need to bring my archers and foot soldiers?

No, but a video camera would be good. Anybody bringing video? My little digicamera will do about an hour 640 x 480 video.

Awesome, this is turning out to be a well attended event! (and think, Alan was worried that there would not be much interest) I am looking forward to Sunday!
