Holocaust survivor event
Last night I had the privilege of hearng three survivors of the Holocaust speak about their experiences. I won't go into detail about it, but let me offer this suggestion to the Rabble: If you hear of such an event within travelling range of where you are, go. Go and hear the stories. Go and listen to these living links in the chain of history. Go and experience all they can offer. Take your children, grandchildren, the neighbor's kids, and any other young people you can find and go. We often hear the Allies' side of the story (which we should hear), but it adds a whole other dimesion to hear stories of people who endured what these people endured.
This is not a political thread, of course. It's an invitation and a challenge to us all to learn as much as possible about our own history and the history of other people, too.
